I left off when we first arrived in Goa - now Jamie and I have been here for four days, and it's been really great! It's very relaxing and peaceful after the north of India! The past two days we've been renting out a scooter and driving around all the beaches in Goa. It's a great way to see everything - there's a bunch of small towns and remote beaches that would be inaccessible without the bike! We've visited most coastal towns in North Goa - we both agree that Baja might be the best choice for our next stop, there seems to be more things going on there, and we've heard it's a good place to meet other travellers! Yesterday while we were on the bike, trying to go check out Old Goa, all of a sudden there was a big police barricade on the road...soon all the traffic was stopped and we were told that the President of India was coming past. Now, that's understandable, but the timing of this blockade was a bit early, because we ended up sitting there, in direct sunlight, for half an hour - until the procession of about 30 cars came past, all

Anjuna Beach is much quieter than the Lonely Planet said - it's definitely not the party spot in Goa - even though last night they had a Full Moon Party which attracted most of the foreigners to a really nice beach bar bungalow!
But this 'Full Moon Party' ended at 9:30 when the authorities came to say that the music should be turned off. The party was what I expected to see in a place like Goa - hippies of all ages jumping around to trance music, getting wasted on anything in the vicinity. and let me tell you - there's ANYTHING in the vicinity. every second person on the street offers you any type of drug under the sun, and I think most of the people are here for just that. So it's not really my scene, but it's still interesting to watch (from afar 😉 ) . Luckily a few of our friends we've met on the way were also there, so we had a chance to catch up with them - a couple we met while shooting the Bollywood movie, and two dutch guys who we met at

Today there's supposed to be a big party at a club called ' Club Cobana' - women get in for free and get free drinks all night. maybe it's just me, but that sounds like a damn good deal! Hopefully it'll be a good night, and they'll have some music I can dance to!
The weather here has been really good, and I've actually got some color finally - even though spending copious hours on the scooter means that i have some funny looking burns on the tops on my thighs! Today it's a bit rainy, though, which is a shame since it's Wednesday - the big flea market day here in Anjuna - which attracts lots of sellers from all over the region, as well as all the tourists imaginable!

I think we're gonna move on to Baja tomorrow, and i'm sure we'll be renting out another scooter soon! Hope to hear from you all soon!
