Hey!
thanks for the comments and emails - glad people are enjoying the travelblog site! i'm back at the same internet cafe as before, but with some more exciting events to share!! so - the other night when i wrote i had just been approached by the bollywood people. we were to meet all the other extras at Leopold's Restaurant at 7:30 am.
When we got there, a few american guys (Jason and Chris from California) joined us for breakfast. As time went on, more westerners started to appear, and soon our groups of 30 was there, and we headed to the bollywood studio (yrf studio). This studio, as it turns out, is one of the best here in Mumbai! I was expecting to be standing out in the sun all day, but when we got to the set, they took the girls and gave us all outfits (it was a pub/club scene, and all the girls were given itsy bitsy teeny weeny skirts or dresses). mine was a hideous 60's green and orange number with some nice high heels. they ran out of time, so i didn't even get any make-up. overall, i definitely wouldn't have cast me

into a movie I was directing. but...i think i'm definitely in. one of the scenes has two of the actors talking to each other, and i'm dancing directly behind them.
The dancing might be the worst you've ever seen, because we had to dance without music. that's tough. even for an avid dancer like myself. 😉 ! but i GOT IN! so if you even happen to be around india (or if it becomes a big hit in the west) and see a movie called 'Neal and Nikki' - i'm in it! hehe. but jamie definitely won the prize - they cast him as a barman - and since lots of the scenes had the main actress dancing on the bar, he was constantly in shot - throwing bottles around, passing drinks, and dancing away to the bollywood beats! overall, it was a really fun day - it was really interesting to watch the final cut of the scenes from the directors monitor. but it was a long day - we ended up getting back at 11 - and went straight to the pub with all our new found friends! tonight we're planning on going to a club! now i have to go and have something to eat - i'm starving! keep the posts coming!
love,
mona

Wow! That is so cool...you really are having an adventure! How come I can't read the comments left by other people? Nothing much going on here, I'm still studying for my scary exam. :)
