Mexico City

We are finally in Mexico!!! The first natural stop is Mexico City, the biggest city in the world! We arrived late on wednesday at the airport and our friends Hege and Frantz were there meeting us at the airport. It was really exciting!! We were nervous and happy at the same time, the real adventure had finally started!

In Mexico City we did lots of things. The first day we visited the anthropological museum, a very interesting and nice experience, unfortunately we were so tired because of the jetlag so we didn't get the most out of it, you really need a lot of time at that museum! The first night we also met my relatives Taina, Victor, Fraya and Maritza! They had invited us for a real mexican dinner and we enjoyed it a lot!

In Mexico City we also had time to visit Frida Kahlo's house and the historical centre, and on saturday we went with David's family to see the piramides of Teotihuacan! That was really impressive!! We had a guide telling us many interesting things about the Aztec culture which was nice!

On sunday we decided to leave Mexico City to see some other places as well. We decided to blow the budget (as every day..) and hire a car! The car is an interesting experience in itself, so ugly that we won't be afraid of getting robbed on the highway at least... We call it "el diablo azul" and on the back of the car it says "satisfaccion total"... Do I need to say more... :-) All for now, to be continued.... Mette

Hej du där!! Hur har du det! Kom just första gången på nätet o titta..o ha följt efter hur ni har det! Verkar vara ett bra äventyr!! Allt bra här, trots att det blir svinkallt!! Jobbet e kul, o chino mår bra o busigt. Lite stressigt har det ju varit med full tidtabell, men nu blir det hoppeligen lite mer easy...Ha det så bra, o sköt om dig!
