Well here we are in Perth again and today we got ourselves set up with wireless internet, so we are finally able to communicate at our leisure! So here's some edited highlights from our trip so far. We can't believe that 2 weeks ago we were in the midst of cleaning and preparing our house for letting, and our last minute goodbyes to friends and family!

We had a good trip over on Air NZ on the 10th, meeting up with Alister in Auckland, and arrived to about 34 degrees early evening. Our highlights pre Singapore were spending some time with Blu's brother Ross and his wife Laurin, and watching NZ get hammered by Australia at the 20/20 cricket game at the WACA - well it started off well but quickly became embarassing, especially when the blokes behind me started asking "so where's your Kiwi flag now then?!"

Steph joined us on the 12th and we flew with Tiger Airways to Singapore on the 13th - we loved Singapore - it is such an interesting place, so many diverse cultures, every kind of food imaginable, and so lush and green - the tropical vegetation is amazing! It's an easy

city to visit, and the people are generally very friendly and helpful - in fact they really like to give you advice on where to go and sometimes get a bit miffed if you don't follow it!. We were very impressed with the Zoo, Jurong Bird Park and the Night Safari (this was amazing). The shopping are fun but the size can be overwhelming - but we did some shopping. We picked up a lap top so we can write our travel diaries from the outback of Oz later in our travels. Other interesting experiences we had were going to Little India on a Sunday afternoon - a massive sea of Indian men everywhere and a chaotic shopping experience at the huge Mustafa store, eating and more eating (although we are now a bit over rice and spice) going across to Sentosa Island on the cable car suspended so high above the harbour, Orchard Road Christmas lights (there were mega millions of them!) and the National Orchid gardens. We were very lucky that we didn't get much rain, considering it is monsoon season.

Got back to Perth on Thursday night and we are now having some R and R up before Christmas! Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year everyone and we will update you all after New Year.
