Hey!!! well this ones split in two!! I finally got the pics from my Birthday celebrations with my kiddies at Mrs Jins house 😊 hehe!! so check out the pics for them!! and then.....this weekend we headed to Seoul to celebrate among things, the nearing of the end of term! my birthday (cos we all working on it!!!) Christmas and a reunion!!! 😊
We headed to Seoul on Friday night and went to Insadong to find a motel 😊 before off for an indian in the Itaewon (army district) of Seoul! must say though im looking forward far more to one prepared by the whale!! they need you over here their cookings poor!! haha!!
We then went to the stream that runs through the centre of seoul, which with a hot chocy in hand and wrapped up we braved the snow to see the beautiful light show 😊 really hope still there at New year to show ya ma and whale!! it was fantastic, all lit with the running water and singing 😊 hehe!! Worth getting turned to an icicle for!!
Headed back then through the markets to get some sleep ready for Everland! woooohooo!!
So Sat morning and off we
went for what we thought was an easy bus to Everland...haha is anything in Korea ever simple? i think not! so the first bus station said...its over there in the next building...so off we trott....there no sorry no direct bus go to this street and catch the bus....so off we trott again back on subway....nope no bus 5002 on that street.....so we call the travel fone yaya we think...english speaker okay right bus number wrong location...so off we go again on the subway.....find the bus number on the sign but cant find the bus stop?!!! aghghghg!! walking up and down scanning every bus number and then finally like a mirage it appears but on the wrong side of the street.....so we stood impatiently at the light and as it turns we bolt for the bus....some man obviously thought 'crazy white people' but did indeed stop the bus!! so after 2 hours 30 min we were on the bus!!!!
Everland was great..kinda a korean style disney world! But it was full of christmas lights and trees and singing so of course i was merrily dancing around!! 😊 but koreans have an obsession wiht animal hats.....bears, sheep anything but to see grown
adults in full suits and ties and a bear hat on their head was quite a sight!!! 😊
So we went on lotsa rides! and even sledging!! (korean safety huuuuge though...!!!) must face forward, feet down at all times!! did make us giggle!!
and then the finale the lights show and fireworks, really amazing day 😊 and much needed!! cold but fantastic!!!
so off then to a bar and some nibbles 😊
Sunday was christmas shopping time! so yes ya do have gifts they just may be a liccle late cos theyre coming via ma whale post!!! so due to arrive January!! 😊 hehe!!
The markets were ace so we went for a wander and to get some food before finding our buses home!
All in all a great weekend although now...im falling asleep at my desk and so looking forward to my first night at home in a long long time!! and heating my apartment cos when i got home last night it was 5 degrees! and even after heating last night and this morning still hasnt gone above 12!!! brrrrrr!!!
well cant wait till thursday 😊 hehe!! the arrival of more spectacles in Bonghwa the poor
liccle town wont know whats hit em!!!!! 😊

Wow, the lights at cheonggyecheon stream look amazing. So much better than the one's you got me to take photos of in Glasgow!
