Well, finally in Australia. The whole point of the trip was for my family to attend my cousin, Howard's, graduation ceremony. He is the first one to be a doctor in our Chan family. Everyone is very proud of him and, of course, it's always nice to have a doc in the family. It comes with perks! =)

On December 14th we flew to Brisbane to attend the graduation ceremony. BTW, Australia has 6 states and Brisbane is in Queensland. We arrived in Brisbane at around 7am. While my cousin ran around doing errands, my parents and I roamed around exploring the city.

When it came time to the graduation ceremony, we rushed to the University and sat through the whole thing. 300 Med students graduated that day. In Australia, doctors do not choose their specialization in school. They intern for couple years and decide which area they would like to specialize in.

Their Graduation outfit is very different from ours. It's kind of weird... The front part does not zip up or enclose. It just kind of hangs there.
