I walked back to school after lunch with our last boy to finish eating...
the kids at our school out here in the country have a pretty long break for lunch, and when they're done eating, they wait for the principal or teacher/s to return.
So what do they do?
RACE!
No wonder so many of the kids are so lean and muscular looking. For at least a half hour, they SPRINT back and forth across the huge lawn behind their school racing each other.
They talked me into racing a couple of times, but I don't do so well running on a full stomach. I don't know how they do it. Oh, maybe it's because they do it every single day.
They even run barefoot or just in their socks. They're considered tough if they can run barefoot out here. Rocks, burrs, that sharp type of grass...I cut my leg on something out there and found this big splotch of dried blood on my leg after my walk home.
I uploaded a whole two pictures last night. It's such a slow process...I will soon take some time to go to the internet cafe in town to get more pictures on here. The two new pictures are in the "island life" album. Actually...only one might have uploaded. Sometimes, after waiting on and on for the picture to upload, it finally tells me there was an error.
The preschool kids just walked in the door. I'm taking the girls swimming in our back yard.

Soon it will be Christmas time!!! We are getting the house all decked out. This year I added some ducks and chickens, another shepherd boy and another angel to the manger scene. I tell everyone about getting to talk to the kids! The were fun. Kris is bringing a box of stuff from us with her.Dec 27. a little late Christmas from home!
