Sydney explorer

It dawned hot and sunny, and the Sydney explorer bus was there for hopping on and off. Alex and I took our separate ways, he went Bondi beach way, I took the city bus. We both had a good time, and managed to meet again in town despite not being able to use our mobile phones ( wrong sim card).

Manly ferry
You can't go to Sydney and NOT take the ferry, so we started there - actually we started on the 155 bus which took us there!

Opera house
a good place to begin, the Nutcracker is sold out already - I checked. Glorious sunshine, and great views of the harbour.

Botanic gardens
Well Terry, they're still on the same circuit as you did, nearly everyone was jogging through the gardens. Did you see those enormous bats? Wide awake in broad daylight.

proof
couldn't reist this one - had to get a passer by to take it. Didn't he do well? As you can see, the thunder clouds are piling up, and there was a cloudburst before long. Didn't expect all this rain in OZ!

Queen Victoria's
something! Well it was a market once, now its full of posh shops. There was a huge Christmas tree going up through 3 storeys, and some good stained glass.

fish market
and so to the fish market, where fresh fish for tea was procured. I didn't get any whole fish, in the end settled for salmon - which was very nice too.

home James
back on the ferry to Manly, and the bus. A nice view of the bridge to end with.
