Edfu temple
Vie of the inside of the temple We got onto the boat at Aswan our bad english speaking guide in toe. He checked us in and explained we would be met the following day in Edfu. He told us there was a party on the boat that evening. When we enquired what the party was about he looked blank and told us we would have a very nice time - just like the faluka ride. We gave up in the end. So we left Aswan on a very nice 5 star cruise liner - mmmmm think maybe 3 star but to be fair it was clean and the food was good so couldnt complain. Now I would love to be able to post you a photo of said boat but we were so busy lying in the sunshine by the pool that we completely forgot we had not taken photos of anything at all on the there !! So sorry guys you will just have to imagine....
It was smooth journey taking us overnight to Edfu where we were to be met by our guide to go to a local temple.
To be honest at this point although it was impressive our tour guide again had

Vire of the outside limited english and she talked so fast it was hard to understand. So we wondered around after her just taking in the view. We did not stay long as the boat was departing at 8.30am we got back at 8.25am and was frantically beckoned on board. Our guide seem completely unfased by this.
We then set sail for Luxor, our guide told us we would get there the following morning and be met by our guide. she could not tell us what time so we are a little stuck at this point. We texted our cairo guy who had been really good and he text back to say our Luxor guide would be in touch asap. This was lunch time we got our message at 8.30pm after we had docked in Luxor 3 hours before egyptian time again!!! me Tim and the american girls decided to go out and find some cheap beer as the boat was stupidly expensive. Good night had by all and we all fell to bed at 2am!! Thanks to Jennifer and Mariah for a great night out.
