In Quito, Ecuador

Hello Everyone!

arrived in quito a week ago. i am staying with a wonderful family who already treats me as one of their own. we do a lot of eating and talking (well they talk a lot and i try my hardest to keep up and speak a little!), and hanging out with their massive family. actually, it seems as that is what people here live for and spend most of their time doing. a bit of work, a lot of cooking and eating and even more spending time with friends and family. it is a beautiful way of life.

quito is a very beautiful city. situated among mountains and all sorts of diffent climates, there seems to be never ending things to do. it has been warm and nice everyday that i have been here and it pours and thunders every afternoon about 4pm or so, like clockwork!

i know more spanish that i thought i would, which is helpful. i just began classes at a small school on monday. i also had a salsa lesson yesterday and i am going to test out my moves at the discoteca tomorrow night!
