The last couple of days have been pouring it down, but we haven't let it dampen our moods! Today we decided to take a trip to the Botanical Gardens in the tropical rain which was a right bubble bath! Its a shame we haven't got a camera that can capture smells as it was a treat for the nasal senses! Also the Flora and Fauna was pretty impressive as you can see on the photo's and the rain only added to the experience with hardly anyone around it felt like it was our little bit of the jungle! However we didn't expect a favela to come right onto the edge of the Garden and be closley monitered by an armed security guard at that end! Overall it was great way to spend a rainy day in Rio!
On another point we have met some right characters on the beach trying to sell us things and one in particular said without prompting called Craig Ronaldhino and knowing he hasn't seen Craig play football it lead us to one hillarious conclusion, even the locals think it!!! On the other hand he said Jake looked like Cristiano Ronaldo so he cant be considered the best judge in Rio!
Suprisingly Rio has a top quality underground which is dirt cheap, really clean and very efficient! It is carved into all the mountains and the tunnels and entrances are literally just rock, but it looks really impressive. A great way to get around Rio.
Tho on a negative side to Rio the pavements have homeless people on nearly every corner! You feel really sorry for them but you are advised not to give anything to them or approach them, but they have nothing and many dont look of sane mind!

Hello boys, Hope all is well there? let's get down to brass tacks here what's the local grog like? remember only a fool breaks the 5% rule! do they have cadbury's chocolate fingers? are they clean people seen any dog shit about? don't eat no foreign muck and boil the water! failing that you'll have to drink your own piss why not try each others for a refreshing change?
