We haven’t had tv reception since we’ve been here, and it’s funny the things that revolve around tv. Like bedtime. When we retired we discussed what time to have dinner~~if work doesn’t dictate what time you eat, what time do you want to eat? It’s the same way with tv~~we don’t have to wait until the news is over, or a certain show ends, to go to bed. We go when we’re tired! New concept! We discussed it the other day with the other couples and they said the same thing. When we finally got wifi signal in the motor home we began spending more time on the computer (we, meaning Bob) I’ve read several books. But I think not having tv is nice.

Last weekend there was a church group using Silver Ridge (house that holds 30 people), a men’s retreat at Silver Creek, and 250 college age kids at a retreat here at Silver Spur. The college kids definitely have more energy than the scrapbookers. I guess I don’t really know that, I just know that they have louder energy!!! Those retreats brought their own staff, and just rented the camps for rooms and all meals. This weekend the camp is sponsoring a couple’s retreat, which means they’re doing everything. There’s always a flurry of activity toward the end of the week when campers, aka guests, are due, but nothing like this week. Everyone is busy, and everyone is scampering here and there, and the whole camp looks like it’s dressed for company. We (women) have been asked to work Friday morning, just to help with the last minute details, so we’ll do that in exchange for next Tuesday morning. The men will work again this Friday morning, and with last Friday morning, that’ll be their full day, and they won’t work Tuesday. It’s been very interesting to watch, and is a reminder of how much work it takes to put on a seminar. We’ll do tour on Saturday.

I don’t think I told you about last week’s tour…also on Saturday. We went to Jamestown (also where the Halloween house was) and went through the railroad museum, and took a tour on a historic steam engine powered train. I’ll enclude some pictures. A funny note: one of the conductors sat down across from us and asked where we are from in Montana (we had on our RVICS name tags, which tell what state we're from) and when we told him Sidney, he said he and his wife just bought some land in Glendive! They're going to build a house and retire there. He was so tickled with land prices there! Small world, huh?!

FYI: Number of tarantulas in the swimming pool so far? 2. And to my way of thinking, if they’ve found two, there are thousands more running around at Silver Creek. Tell you what, I don’t go up there to make phone calls any more. Not that I made many, but not happening from up there anymore. Not by this girl.

the crew was wearing these shirts! They had a special ride that afternoon, because when we got off there were LOTS of kids in costumes waiting to get on. (Goosebumps books are scary books written for elementary kids...and older!)

signs
We are enjoying your blog. I could not believe all the signs. It made we think of South Dakota and signs every few feet along the highway. I forgot about the scenery to read the signs. Are the signs distacting to you or just funny? Love you. Hugs around.

The signs are small, and are
throughout the property, so they're not at all disctracting. Some of them are on the walkways, some are on the hiking trails, and some are on the roads, but they may be hanging in the trees, as well as standing on posts. I just found one in the lobby yesterday...it's a suggestsion box, and it's hanging about 10 feet off the ground, and is upside down! Obviously our suggestions are important to them! But all the times we've walked through the lobby, we'd never seen it until yesterday. Now we look for the signs whenever we're moving from one place to another,
