Well in 3 more days we begin our Around the World Tour (Northern Hemisphere). I add the latter classification since last year's tour was classified as Southern Hemisphere, although some of the places we will be visiting are quite south in comparision to Toronto. Here is the agenda,
Nov 5 -- Toronto to Whitehorse in the Yukon
Nov 6 -- Whitehorse to Osaka (Kyoto)
Nov 8 -- Osaka (we lost a day crossing the date-line)
We will be touring Kyoto, visting Nizo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple, Nishiji Testile Hall, Sanjyusangendo Temple and Heian Shrine. Diner will be at the famous revolving restaurant "Top of Kyoto"
Nov 9 -- Visit Nara, the nation's capital between 710 and 784
Nov 10 -- Osaka to Hong Kong
In Hong Kong we will be taking the funicular railway ascent to the top of Victoria Peak, taking the Star ferry to Hong Kong Island, visting Stanley Market (shopping) repulse Bay and the Aberdeen Fishing Village.
Nov 12 -- Hong Kong to Saigon
Our iternary includes visitin China Town, the Binh Tay market, the Thien Hau Pagoda, Notre Dame Cathedral, a dniner served while we cruise the Saigon River. In addition we will be visiting the Mekong Delata. There are a number of other places and things that we will be doing, you will have to follow along in the blog to see all.
Nov 14 -- Saigon to Siem Reap in Cambodia
Most of our cambodia stay will be visiting differ sites within Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Bayon. I am really looking forward to seeing these architectural masterpieces.
Nov 17 -- Siem Reap to Agra in India
Agra is one of the most prominent destinations of world tourism destinations with 3 heritage monuments - the Taj Mahal, Red Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
Nov 19 -- Agra to Dubai
Our agneda includes a diner cruise veiwing Dubai from the water, a BBQ dinner under the stars at a Bedouin campsite, and plenty of time for leisure.
Nov 22 -- Dubai to Nairobi
We will travel by light aircraft to the Shaba/Sarova Game Reserve
Nov 25 -- Nairobi to Luxor Egypt
On the 26th Mare and I will be taking a hot air balloon over the West Bank. Luxor is the location of the valley of the Kings so in addition to a cruise of the Nile I should have some interesting pictures.
Nov 27 -- Luxor to Cairo to Prague
In Cairo we will visit the Pyramids and the Sphynx then onto Prague. In addition to all the sites in Prague we will be attending the Slovak Philarmonic. I hope i do better than when we were in Vienna and I fell asleep at the opera.
Nov 30 -- Prague to Keflavik Iceland (Reykjavik)
I intend to enjoy relaxing in some of the hot geothermal pools.
Dec 2 -- Iceland to Toronto
