SwingsSwingsSwings

Oh the squeels!
One:
What a laugh the entire village had Friday afternoon when school jump ropes were transformed into swings! Regina, a first grade student had the idea. Two of the older girls, Grace and Angelina, ran to my house and asked me to come see something. I wish you could hear the squeals and screams of these students especially the girls. They have never moved so fast and at such a height, let a lone feel the sensation of “loosing your stomach”! Anybody interested in coming over and building a Jungle Gym for the school?

Two:
Meet Sister Ama. If there is trouble or a fight going on in the village of Apebouso, Sister Ama will be in the midst of it. She is a bit of a hot head and known for causing trouble. Yet every time I check blood pressure, hers will be lower then anybody else!

These days, just the sight of her causes me to both laugh and cringe. As you can see her stomach is about to pop! This thing has to come out of her!!!! I cringe at the thought of it! All joking aside, Sister Ama needs our prayers at this time. As

her due date is “anytime now” she sincerely needs encouragement and physical strength. Tragically, last year Ama’s baby died during the night while sleeping next to her in the bed. Last week she asked, “If I don’t attend church, can I still go to heaven?” Sadly, she stopped attending church some time ago. She felt because she doesn’t have money for nice clothes or tithe and offerings, she couldn't go. As you can imagine, there was much guilt and anger that followed the baby’s death. Now one year later fears are multiplied as Ama feels she is out of Gods protection and about to deliver another baby. No doubt memories of last year’s tragedy are fresh in her mind.

Ama is our special friend and dear to us. Usually pregnant women refuse to have their picture taken. They believe the picture will steal the baby’s spirit. This photo is witness to our friendship and trust. Please help us pray her through this.

Three:
During one mornings bible reading I asked my 2nd grade class, "Where did John the Baptist live?" Sarah responds eagerly, "The Hundred Acre Woods!” I had a hard time containing myself, "No Sarah. That is

where Winnie the Poo lives". Though I give Sarah credit, John and Poo do have some thing in common. They both ate/eat honey. Obviously some element of the Poo story I read the previous week stuck in her memory!

Have a Great Week ps. Happy Birthday! Tony, Peggy and Aaron!
