Welcome to the island of Wonder, Ulleungdo! , Yes it was. What a change from Seoul. Ulleungdo is known for it's delicious cuisine, including cuttlefish, fresh greens, pumpkin taffy, and medicinal beef. It has an ocean climate. It has an abudance of juniper, water, wind, and stone. We started out friday at 11:30 pm for a 5 hour bus ride . We arrived to watch the sunset (see pics) Wow, lots of Canadians on the tour well actually a lot of foriegners all in one place together! We took the ferry about 2.5 hours right over to the ulleungdo island itself. I don't want to say too much about the ride except I am glad I had gravol! Everyone was sea sick around me ! The whole boat smelled like kimichi and rice if you know what I mean. I thought I was in the twilight zone for a little while. Some of the people on our tour had a rough go , but we survived. We reached the hotel to find our cute rooms of 4 with little pads and blankets on the floor. We had lunch. Tofu type soup to settle stomachs I think. We had some free time
to explore. Later we went up the cable car to the mountain to see the beautiful scenery. That night we drank beer from the local shop across the street and walked down to the harbour. Early in teh morning we ate breakfast (Cuttlefish, rice, kimchi and egg) and headed for our 3 hour bus tour. It was great (see pics). We had lunch near the mountain in a beautiful inn. Some went off to Dokdo and others on the hike! See my pics for the awesome hike!We had pizza for dinner that night next door to the hotel- We were sick of korean food! We had a bigger party night although I could hardly walk. They even had Noraebong! (Karoake) Monday morning we got up and went fishing and swimming. It was a beautiful sunny day. We jumped about 15 feet off teh bridge. We had mussel rice for lunch. Mom you would love it!!!!! Dad , not sure you would fit your legs under the table- all that yoga practice I gave you might help! (ha ha) Then we boarded the ferry to head home back to busy Seoul. What an amazing trip!!!!!!!!!! Great people, great scenery, unforgettable!

What an amazing looking place! How cool would it be to just live on thoe little isalnds for a while (Except for the little hut thing). Best photos of you, Kim, that I think I've ever seen.(No strange facial expressions or anything:P )
