Khao san road
Khao San Road Hello everyone, so this is our first proper entry on our blog! We have been staying in Bangkok for the last few days, our guesthouse is very nice - has a pool and cafe area so everything we need when we need to cool off! Its so hot here compared to UK, 32 degrees and very humid. Since we arrived we've been exploring Bangkok via tuk-tuks (three wheeler motocycles things), where your driver takes you around to different sites in the city - very cheap way of getting around, and sorting out our visas for the next countries we visit. We've visited loads of temples, including the Grand Palace, which was very grand!!! Really, it was amazing with all the different colours and extravagant buildings. We also visited the sleeping buddha (Wat Po) and the golden buddha which is 3m tall and as its name suggests, made of real gold.
The last few nights have been spent on the famous Khao San Road, eating and drinking, and watching the maddness of this fast-pace city. Today has been a lazy day before we head in to Cambodia tomorrow, which will take a whole day travelling on potholed roads.
