Some of you may have been wondering why the Busters refer to Earth as the Big Red Tomato? Simple really, just see the map below. All the countries shaded red are those that have been visited by at least one G1.

80 days to go and still waiting for that ticket confirmation from Tez. Also spoke with G8 Divola today and he informed me that he was off to New York for three weeks in an attempt to upgrade his Buster rating. I asked if he was going to keep a Travel Blog and he answered, Nahh - who would be interested? I must concede he makes an excellent point.

I was going to buy a bottle of champagne but it just seemed easier to get a case

God love him, he's been trying for an upgrade since '86.

bust a move
While I'm off on my sad little trip to NYC, I thought I should compliment the G1 fraternity (on behalf of all lower grades) for the fine pictorial archive they've been posting on this most excellent site. I'm sure the ladies (a.k.a. "the busts") will be salivating over the Pammukale "double adonis at cotton castle" shot. But I personally am a fan of "members of Haircut 100 and The Cramps mingle at evil twins' birthday celebration at Little Eater". Keep up the great work, guys! And remember, "where it's busting, G1s are napping". B.C. G8 D. PS Great to hear that Tez is keeping things up in the air to the last moment. Those G1s love to live on the edge. Inspiring stuff!

One of the best days of my life when Tez brought home that case of champers.

stop! I am becoming depressed
Were we all such pretentious wankers or was it just the boys!

Status credits
Can someone please send through to me the amount of travel one has to have under their belt and the different levels of G1 etc. I'm curious to see where myself and the other poor bastards who have been suffering the "Buster" group stand with our status credits. I've managed to go gold and nearly platinum just wearing a bloody ditch between Oz and NZ over the last 2.5 years. Maybe I might scrape into a Z10. Cheers to BC G8, love his tenacity!

It's official.....all 3 G1's CONFIRMED
It's ALL GO. Tez is confirmed - flights are booked and locked. One of the challenges my agent had in booking these tickets is that they kept telling me "Sir, there are no first class seats available on flights from Singapore to Phnom Phen" I kept telling them "I know that and in fact I WILL NOT fly first class as that would be most un-Buster-like". Finally they gave up on the Leer Jet idea and confimed me out on SQ to PP 12th December; returning from Siem Reep. I think the wait has been worth it. All hail the Busters. Tez
