Hi Y'all,
Here we are sitting and waiting for 5 hours for an overnight flight to La Paz, Bolivia. We slept about 3 hours last night so we are all a bit shattered. We are having the best time here in the States. We love San Francisco. We spent 3 full days exploring the city and its sights. We also had a day tour to Muir Woods (an hour north of SF) which has the giant Sequioa trees. They are the biggest trees in the world and are amazing to walk amongst these giants. We also went to Sausilito, a small touristy village on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We also sailed past Alcatraz which was rough and windy but great fun and great views of the city and bridge. We hired a car, a jeep for those of you who are interested, and drove to Yosemite National Park. We got a GPS which was the best thing. No maps, no wrong truns, no arguing or stress. Highly recommend one. Yosemite is about a four hour drive east of SF. Yosemite is awesome. The views are breathtaking. Literally. The girls had a heap of fun with squirrels and chipmonks. They handfed them acorns from the beautiful oak trees everwhere. Tim had a bit of a run in with a bear, who chased Tim away when he got a bit close to take a photo. I wish I got some more of it on video but we all just started running when the bear turned on Tim. It was so funny. If I can figure out how to put video on this blog, I will so you can all have a laugh at the bit of footage I did get. We went to glacier point with more breathtaking views. I better go as the girls are waiting for the computer to do some emails. I don't know how good the internet will be in Sth America but will try to upload as often as possible. Take care. Thanks for all your comments and keeping in touch. It is great to hear from you. Love Suzanne, Tim, Sarah and Rachel

You are making me jealous!
Hi guys have just read the last three blogs. makes me smile remembering when i lived in San Francisco and i totally agree with you that it is a beautiful city. Are there still lots of 'crazies' on the streets? Goodluck in South America - remember to look out for the old grannies (especially on the bus) - they are the best pickpockets in the world! Fete is postponed until November 10th. Yipee, i can hear you from here! Enjoy the coca. Rosie.

Isn't there a dress code, Tim?
Tim, again no shoes! You would think there was a dress code in a place called Bridal Veil, don't you think. Well, at least you're consistent. Miss you guys! Jean Marie Hubert and Lucky has not been spotted yet. But there is a For Sale sign out the front, I thought he was joking.

Hey Travlers!
Hi GUYS!! Tim chased by a bear.....I'd like to see that! That's so cool you made it to Yosemite! It's one of my favorite places in the whole world! And Muir Woods! Now you know why I wanted Tim to read the book The Wild Muir. I found it so Tim can read it when you get back. Hope all goes well in S.A. We've had SOOOOO MUCH RAIN. I'm sure your Dad has filled you in on it. It was great to see the sun on Saturday. The boys are bugging the heck out of me right now so I best sign off. Will write again in the near future. Adios amigos!!! Christine
