I stopped here because I was out of breath but turned it into a good photo opportunity.
Eddie has been ill for the last two days and yesturday he didn't make it out of bed. We had to spend an extra night in the guest house with a private room so that he could recover.

Left to my own devices I decided to set out alone to see a few of the sights. Cuzco is a wondeful city and there is a great mix of Inca and Colonial Spanish influence in the buildings and the people. However it is a very self-concious place and plays well on its history for us tourists.

I decided to head up to the 15th Century Inca Fortressb that stands high ona hill top over the city. It was a real clib at times, especially at this altitude but the views were really stunning. Up there it is really peaceful and at times I felt I had the whole city and teh mountains around to myself.
