Well started our trainging now, had a good day yesterday in lectures and then a mini adventure today to the korean folk village, amazing place! Its an area of Korea preserved and developed to keep a national heritage sight to how the country has developed.

Went firstly for a guided tour, huge huge place, saw all the traditional huts, trees, cooking ways, and then on to the temples and the meaning of each section which can still be seen in all the korean temples today. The crafts were all demonstrated, the fan making, basketry, the use of the impements in cooking, traditional foods explained, a huge river walk, and sculpture park and then finally to the display centre to watch the local dancing, costumes and skills.

Watched the farm dancers with ribbons attached to their heads while dancing and playing music - absolutely amazing, saw the see-saw girls (not quite like you and me Chris in Biarritz was it that summer!!!! but nearly!!) Idea is to bouce each other on feet stood on see saw so as up in air can perform tricks such as roly polys, hula hoops etc! And then of course the tightrope dancers!

Had a fantastic day, very exhausting because of the heat! so so humid and wet as well as almost 40 degrees out!

Food seems to be getting harder to eat! had my first squid yesterday! and octopus today! That i can managed however i am struggling with the fish water used to cook everything!! lol sure ill get used to it!! had hot meat and rice soup today but still it tasted on kimchi (spiced )v hot) cabbage! apparently they use the water of cabbage for broth!!! why???!!!

Back to the classroom tomorrow, but have another music event on Wednesday 😊

Please leave me comments to read they make me smile!!

miss you all, lots love cer xxxxxxxxxx
