This morning we woke up to a beautiful warm sunny day. We booked a tour with the Chandlers to see Karunda which is a small village in the rainforest. We were dropped off at the sky rail that took us up a side of the mountain which was all rainforest. The first stop was a lookout in the rainforest and was very pretty. The second stop was Barron Falls and we had a great view from the look off. The sky rail is one of the longest in the world so it took us a while to get to Kuranda, but it was well worth it for the views. I will say others were a little nervous and for once it wasn’t me! I won’t say any names though.
Once in Kuranda we walked up through the village which is basically little shops selling touristy things. We had some food and waited for our next adventure. We were picked up and drove out of the rainforest to a ranch where we went horseback riding. We had a great time and we were very impressed with Grace, she is 4 and her first time horseback riding. kept trying to nip Aly’s since it was not happy we were behind her. My horse's name was Robbie and Mark got to ride a horse named Fancy Pants. Ha-ha, the group leader called everybody by the horses name so it was great!
After having wobbly legs for an hour we were taken back to the village where we caught an old train down to the coast. The train was pretty cool since the windows were open and there was some pretty scenery, but we were all exhausted and ready for a nap. We met up later that night and had dinner and then went back to the hotel with some beer and we sat out on our balcony for a while.
We said good bye to the chandler’s as they are off to Singapore tomorrow and we are headed for the reef. I think we stole the warm US weather as I have been reading that it is cold and rainy there and warm and sunny here. Sorry, but we are taking full advantage of it. Clear skies for the morning. Wahoo!!!

Fancy Pants indeed
The best part of this whole story is that the tour guide called you each by the name of your horse. LOL!! Fancy Pants, I do have a childish sense of humor, I am still laughing. Love ya Mark!
