Hello everyone!
So I have arrived in Buenos Aires, am alive and emotionally stable (at least for the time being). I got in on time Tuesday morning, tired due to the overnight flight and cold since its Winter here. The driver who was supposed to pick me up however was no where to be found! Luckily I had his cellphone number, called him and found out he was waiting in a different terminal. It was about an hour ride from the airport to my hostel in the neighborhood of Recoleta. I proceeded to nap most of the day and go to bed early on Tueday since I was tired and disoriented. I did, however, meet my contact person from the volunteer organizaiton who is from Berlin and very nice. She helped me get a prepaid cellphone and took me to an initial interview where I will be having my Spanish classes....they start Tuesday.
Yesterday, I spent most of the day searching for a long term place to stay and found a room to rent in the neighborhood of Belgrano. It is month to month so should work for the time being....I just didnt want to stay in the hostel any longer than I had too. I was also able to meet up with a friend of my friend Amira (Amira is a friend of mine in New York whom I met when doing my internship at Goldman Sachs). I met about 7 american, one britain who are here teaching english. It sounds like I shouldnt have too difficult of a time finding an english teaching job....that will be next weeks goal.
Today, since I have a place to live, I am less stressed out so am going to do some touristy things and learn a little bit about the city. No pictures to upload until I get me computer up and running on Sunday.
Ciao! Besos.

Argentina Virgin
Nick, What week do you think your goal to lose your viginity to an Argentinian will fall in? Week 2? or did it happen on the plane already? =) Keep me apprised. I am definitely looking forward to seeing some of your more sordid adventures in your blog, in fact I will be living vicariously through it. Taiwanese is different than South American and you know how much I enjoy experiencing new cultures =) Luv ya, miss ya, -jefe (purposeful)
