Going Out
Eric, Gisele, Marta and I So since Will left I have been a bit of a bum in ways. I have spent a lot of time with Marta, Eric, and Marta’s’ friend Gisele. Eric is funny because I didn’t really know how crazy he is until Will left. Truly a free spirit especially for a person who is a good LDS and does not drink, smoke, or have sex. Marta and I if you haven’t guessed have been kind of an item and Eric and Gisele followed suite. Our first night out was again at Disnivel, which was a bit of a Raton. Our waiter was to put it lightly, not very polite, as Marta asked him a question about the menu when he brought out the wrong thing. The waiter promptly told her this was a restaurant not a market and to “go to hell” in Spanish. Thing is Marta is Argentine and has the Latina fire, so she talked to the manager and we all got free coffee and she was not charged the 7 pesos for the chopped up tomato that was supposed to be a salad. That night we all hung out at the Roof Bar until closing then Marta and I

Yep here we are again. went to a club called Galleria in Recolleta. We danced like crazy people until about 5:30 and then finally went home. So then I started to get sick again, man am I good at that.
The next night Marta made the four of us an awesome meal at the tiny kitchen in the Portal, and we ate like kings, followed by another night of drinking at the Portal. The funniest part was in the night, I had an empty room so the four of us where hanging out and more or less making out, then arrived my two new roommates from Korea. They saw us closed the door with a confused look and the returned apologizing for interrupting. They where unsure at first what was going on as they where told that only one person was in there room and they were greeted by two couples making out. They were cool about it though and we all laughed as we should have been the ones apologizing. Needless to say there are a lot more stories with these nights, but the type better told in person. Our last night with the four of us together we went to a hip

Guys Eatin hop party at the same Galleria club which was a bust, and then to another club which was I found out a gay club, but worth a little dancing with the girls then return back to the Hostel early which is about 2:30 am. Eric treated me to Siga la Baca before he left and I jammed out on the drum he had bought one last time then said farewell.
As far as things during the daytime I went to the Japanese gardens with my friend Francie, did some reading in the Parque and talked to some interesting and a little crazy old Argentines. I did finally go look at an art and photography exhibit although I spent almost all of my time looking at the photography part, as it was much better and more interesting for me as an aspiring photographer. I went to the gym a couple days as I think I have put on a tiny bit of weight, although I am still unsure about that. A lot of random bullshitting with travelers as usual, a lot of sleeping and trying to do some things online before the next leg of my journey as I will

Marta the fabulous cook. not be bringing my laptop through Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador.
This weekend I am spending with Jennifer in the campo, as I wanted some rest, relaxation, recuperation, and family bonding time before I left the city for an actual adventure and some real traveling. Not much to write about so far in the country, I was sick, now I am feeling better, and I am getting everything sorted out for my journeys. Jennifer delivered a calf as I slept Saturday morning and I used the manly quad to drag a large stack of hay where it could have a bed on Sunday. We’re so rural.
And now I am just trying to get to 100% and make sure I have everything sorted before I start the real traveling. For those loved ones reading this, don’t worry, if you pray feel free to pray, but don’t worry. For those reading for the sake of reading please continue to read as I know that the blog is bound to pick up as I start my journey north. Costa Rica by December or Bust!!!
