It has been a while since I wrote last and I´m trying to remember what has happened.

From Franfurt we travelled to Köln (Cologne) via the Rhine Valley.

We checked out a few some great little towns, some in big fort walls with castles over looking them from the hills.
In St.Goarhausen we went to the Lorley statue which is from an old folk tale. She was a siren and used to sing on a rock and make ships crash until they tried to capture and she was taken away by the Rhine. It was a very relaxed few days and rained alot.

It rained the whole time we were in Köln so it wasn´t very exciting.
We met some awesome people at the hostel and pretty much got hammered both nights. The first night with some Canadians and Irish. We were teaching the Irish boys to kick the footy in the rain at 4am until we got in trouble.

The next night we went out with a couple of lads from Leeds and another Canadian. We went to a few pubs and beers halls. It pissed down rain that night too.

From Köln we

Can´t remember the name of the castle, but it was never defeated in it´s time. It was attacked on numerous occasions but with held on all accounts. It was finally taken when it was deserted by a cowardly leader.
went to Düsseldorf which isn´t that great, not much to see. We met a few people at the hoste,l one who just moved to Düsseldorf for work, took us around in the evening to some pubs and clubs. That was pretty cool.

Finally it was time to head to the Netherlands. The first port of call was Rotterdam. They had a massive dance parade on with floats of people going nuts. Every one looked really drunk or drugged and rough. We saw a brawl with people bleeding like fountains from there heads. I wasn´t a fan of Rotterdam.

We then headed to Amsterdam via The Hague. We didn´t stay long in The Hague as it was boring.
In Amsterdam it went nuts. It is a dirty looking city but it is great. It has a constant heart beat and there is never a shortage of things going on. We checked out the Red Light District, very seedy indeed but worth a look. Lots of prostitutes in windows and lots of sex shop and shows. Shaun, Ev and I went to a live sex show, it was shit, but it had to be done.

We found some great

Shaun said I should put in a photo of me too!
little Coffee Shops, these are where you buy joints from, and indulged in some smoking.
Shaun and I also tried Magic Mushrooms as they are legal as well. Very interesting, good times. It gave lots of things a whole new look. Anyway enough of that, I´m sure you don´t want to hear about it. (Email me if you do!)

We then headed to an island called Texel from Amsterdam, we had to catch a car ferry over. It was pretty cool and we camped but as always it pissed down rain for two days and was very windy. We went on a bush walk and checked out the beach, no where near as nice as the beaches in Australia.

Once we were back on planet earth we headed back to Germany to Hannover to met one of Shaun´s friends, Caroline.
We hung out with some of her friends (very nice) and they took us to some great clubs that played indie and alternative music. We also had a bbq in the park with them, it is very popular in Germany and they take portable charcoal bbqs with them. It was good just to relax for a couple of days although we drank alot.

We are now in Hamburg and it is a great city. It has the largest red light district in Europe, it was pretty rough looking but it is very safe as the police patrol there all the time. It also has a nice old town and a very posh shopping strip.
We met a guy from Finland so we all hung out anmd checked the sites. We visited a church spire that has been preserved after the war and took an elevator to the top for a view of the city. It was very interesting as it had lots of photos taken after a bombing riad up the top and some history from the war.

Finally got photos up so check the old blogs for pics too.
Well hopefully that covers everything of interest!
