Well guys, I'm in Australia. Its cold and expensive. Beans on toast cost the same as 2 days accommodation on Bali. Good job I've got some work, cobber.

So we touched down in Sydney and the temperature was about 16C, about 10C colder than I have felt for the last 5 months. I only have 2 days here before heading off to the warmer climes of Brisbane. What to do in Sydney. Any ideas? Thats right, you guessed it. And no I havn't got a picture. As soon as i got to the opera house the camera battery died. Drat and double drat. No worries, I'm back in the summer.

First night in Sydney the hostel arranged for everyone to meet somewhere and we got dragged into a pool tournament. 30 odd people, each has 1 shot to pot any ball. You miss you lose a life. You lose 2 lives you are out. Last 4 play off in the semis and final. Yours truly managed to keep the lives intact, fluke a black in the semi and saw the final red hang in the jaws of the pocket. Not quite to be in the final, but I walked away with $50 (to be spent behind the bar. That night). That's all I remember from the rest of the night......

So the second day involved a trip to the Olympic park. I am really racking up these Olympic destinations over the last couple of years: Calgary, Barcelona, Beijing, Sydney, Vancouver, London, and I am LA next month. Not really much there but it was nice to walk around.

Off the plane from Brissy I will be met by Kieren & Kate, the first people that I have specifically arranged to meet. They emigrated last year and Kate has arranged for me to work at her company for the next 3 weeks or so. How do you do this again.....

I'll let you know how it goes.

Hey bro, it's good to hear that reality has hit and you have to eventually do some work! Only joking but you should hear the parents now they're retired. They keep complaining that weekend's don't feel any different any more!!! The cheek! What will you be doing in your new job? I hope you enjoy it and you earn enough to keep you in the style you're accustomed to. XXX
