Merhaba!
It is now one week that we have left Montreal and it already seems far away! First, as some of you noticed, our blog crashed but it seems to be all back in order now, except that our first entry has disappeared. We try to recover it, but we don't know if it will work.
At first, we want to thank the Auberge Croque Mouton, in Montreal, as well as Yannis in London, for the nice and comfortable reception. After one day spent in London, we flew to Dalaman in the south-west of Turkey. From there, we reached the small town of Dalyan, on the border of the Daylan river. In this little town a bit touristic but not too much, we had some rest, took it easy at the magnificent beach of Iztuzu (protected by the government because of the Caretta caretta turtles that live there), admired the Lycian rock tombs, took advantage of the wellness of the mud and sulfur baths and made a boat tour on a lake nearby.
After Dalyan, we went to the remote beach community of Kabak. Far away from cars, hotels and bars of Olüdeniz, Kabak was perfect to rest
some days in small wood houses lost near one of the only beaches still protected from the big investors. The road ends in Kabak and you can only reach the beach by feet or boat. After 3 days, we decided to wake up early to reach the next small village (3 or 4 houses maybe??) on the Lycian trekking way. After a 4 hours hard walk uphill, we were received by a family in Alınca, who offered us traditional tea (çay) accompanied homemade honey, cheese and olives! We made the mistake to drink the fresh water they offered us... Our stomachs now pay the price!!
We are now chilling in Kaş where we'll spend the next 2 or 3 days before going further east to Çıralı.
Hope you enjoy our pictures and send you a bit of sun for those who miss it!
