ok...so didnt get a chance to update yester day so here it goes...
omg...yesterday was the best day ever!!!! we left lima at 5am and we started our adventure to paracas. we arrived at paracas at 9am. we took a 2hr boat ride around the sourouding islands. we saw kindof like a nazca line but it was used to direct pirates and to tell fishermen where to fish being that they had no maps. then we continued to another island. we saw real life boobies (penguins) and sea lions. it was absolutely amazing! when do u get a chance to see these things when u are not in a zoo! i couldnt believe that i was seeing these animals in their natural habitat. we rode around the island and saw thousands of thousands of birds. they actual use that island to harvest guano (natural fertilizer) so u can just imagine what it smelt like! anyway...the island is covered in poopoo up to 3 meters thick!!! gross huh!!! but it was cool.
when we got back to the bus we took another 1 hour ride to a town in the middle of a desert! it was kindof like an oasis! we had an awesome meal....and then...we went dune boarding! it was the coolest thing that i have ever done! we took buggies into the duney desert and it felt like a rollarcoaster. then we got to the place where we would board. it was about 300 feet high at least! we went on our bellies and slide down the dunes! we all were so scared at first and by the end we wanted to do it all day long! i have never gone snow boarding....but this is ten times better. it only cost $10 and the buggie ride alone was worth that much! we are going to make an olympic team called team fau in 2020!!!!
we arrived at nazca at 7pm. there was no electricity because their was an accident and a car hit a pole. so we went to dinner...and again it was really good. i finally have been eating veggies! i dont think they believe in veggies here...their veggies are papas!!! we got back to the hotel and their was electricity ...thank god!!! cuz we were all given candles and i was freaking out because i am afraid of the dark. thank goodness we paired up in a room. we went to bed and now im waiting to go on the airplane to see the nazca lines. everyone talked me into to it because they told me that these people do it every day!!! so they said it isnt dangerous! anyway we get back tonight so ill try and update my adventures tonight before i go to bed!

WOW, Penguins!
Rocco is going to be so jealous you got to see the penguins up close and personal, I know we are! The weather is probably a lot warmer there then in Lima, it must feel good!
