5 days here and still loving it! One of the greatest things is our fantastic tico family here. Our tico mom is about 35 and has been so wonderful to us. She is very concerned about us... if we like the food, slept well, etc. She even packed us fresh pineapple and crackers as a snack for our trip yesterday. She didnt want us getting hungry! Our tico dad loves to talk and knows quite a bit about Costa Rican history, politics, geology.... pretty much anything to do with Costa Rica. And he LOVES to tell us about it all. Our tica sister, Milena, is 15. She has shown us around the university area and is so sweet, loves to talk and always excited! We have 2 tico brothers. Daniel is 7. He also is so sweet, and funny. We play soccer with him and taught him how to play Monopoly one night. He LOVED IT and became quite the barterer!!!! Andy has become his new best friend and Daniel always wants to play PS2 with him..... not sure who loves it more. Alonso is 2 and boy oh boy he is a cutie. He also is so smiley and
La Casa
Here is outside of our house.always wants to play. Yesterday when we were heading out the door with our backpacks he ran and got his little backpack and grabbed our hands to leave with us. Of course he couldnt come, but we found out later he waited on the couch for us to come back and play. It is so fun having kids around and we are learning so much from talking and playing with them. The family and house couldnt be better, we feel right at home!
Oh, and we slept through an earthquake the other night! Later we found out that there are 300 earthquakes here every day, but you only feel about 10 of them a year. Weather has been great but a huge rain storm today that lasted about 10 minutes. Then skies cleared and now its beautiful and sunny again. Ah.... pura vida!
