I guess every one of you has had sex. Was it good? I mean really good? And how long did it last? 30 minutes, 2hours (lucky ) ?

So this was the day. We got tired from being in Syros and decided to leave even with a predicted wind of 6 Bft and waves supposed to be 2.5 m high (which on sea looks like 5m). We had a vote going and finally decided for Mykonos. After some bathing (baying actually that should be called) we finally left Syros at around 4 p.m. and had some 30 nautical miles to go. We went south first and had an average wind (against all forecasts) but that was because we were leeward of the island. But then finally we met it - the storm. YES. At first it started with strong wind up to 28 knots and some waves with one meter. We put the first reef in the mainsail and let the wind kick our ass over the sea with a top speed of 9.6 knots. It was just very nice sailing for some hours. Then we came between 3 islands and the wind got really crazy. First slow, then we put out the reef in the sail again, then the wind increased and we put the reef back. It went like this for 1 hour or so and the crew had to do a lot of work :D
And then finally we passed that one island and came right into a scenery that only the sea can make. We had wind up to 35 knots (got 2 reefs in the main and a 50% genua and still went 9.2 knots). Waves were coming from 2 sides and mixed up crazy. We had waves up to (real) 3 m and we jumped and fell and jumped and surfed the waves, the boat was going crazy, we had some hard touches, all interior that was not fixed just fell around. God, it was crazy and so geil (sorry folks, translate that yourself). It was better than sex and it was the best sailing ever even though the best was yet to come…
With sundown in our back, the lights of Mykonos and 6 cruise ships far ahead, 30 knots of wind, 2.5 m waves and around us getting dark, the catamaran going up and down, Jeff inserted the first Limp Bizkit in the Cd player, we turned the volume up to “very loud” and it felt unearthly. Like the world around would get stuck in chaos but we were the stormriders and the screaming guitars were our swords and fought the wind, me and the guys singing (shouting) “YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH”. Sorry, hard to describe what the Adrenalin and the scenery did to our mood but this was my best sailing day ever.

1 hour later we got to Mykonos and after searching the (new) harbour entry we found it to be a huge construction site. Instead of 350 spaces for yachts it had maybe 30 and all were full so we had to go alongside to two other ships. There were no installations whatsoever - no water, no store, no electricity, no shower. Almost everybody was exhausted so we cooked some spaghetti and fell asleep instantly 

Adventure
I felt like surfing what waves with you, exiting story, and I know what is storm in the night.... mmm that was in Atlantic 5 days of storm on much bigger vessel. The big peace of metal (180m) trembled when hitting the waves. Don`t think it was easy to sleep, eat, go to toilet or even to get downstairs. :) Be careful!
