Rant Time

Caveat before we start. I cant find the apostrophe on this keyboard. Yes, that is worth mentioning. This isnt Vietnam. There are rules here.

It has become really popular to sew Canadian flags on backpacks. Letş look a couple of hypotheticals that test the value of these patches.

1. I am an Italian theif/ scam artist and I see a couple with big backapcks looking at a map of Rome. I go up to pickpocket them only to see Canadian flags on the backpacks. I think twice because, as a theif, I am really concerned with the difference between American and Canadian foreign policy. I decide that I will combate American hegemony by only robbing American tourists. I make a note to myself to look for little flags before I strike.

2. I am a waiter at a tourist trap near the Colosseum. I plan on charging a fortune for a meal I know to be of inferior quality. A young couple sits down and I walk over to serve them. I take their order and at the last minute I catch a glimpse of a canadian flag on the young womans purse. Since I am a huge Celine Dion fan, I rush back to the kitchen and tell them to shelve the frozen lasagna and to whip up something authentic ASAP!

There I feel better.

We went to Rome. When in Rome...

stinkin canadians/brits
I saw a ridiculous amount of Canadian flags sewn on the backbacks too! More British flags than I thought I would see though...
