East Coast

Hi folks,

Hoping that you didn't forget all about us ....

When we posted last we left Sydney which was about 2 weeks ago . Ever since we climbed the east coast and to be honest some of it was quite boring so actually you need to thank us for not sharing with you all our complaints (at least up till now) .

The first place we went to was port macquaire . It's a lovely small town with a nice national park inside . We've been there for 2 days, and on the first we went to this national park (hoping to see some wild life - Kangooro, Koalas ...) . We didn't see any of them but instead we saw zilions of bats . Check the photos it looks like tree full of bat fruits . Afterwards we went to the Koala's hospital . We had a briliant tour there and took cool pictures .

The day after we went to watch whales . We had a bit rough sea, but the whales were awsome . They were quite close to us and they jumped from the water, swam upside down and flipped ther'e tail in the water .

From port macquarie we went to Bayron bay . We don't have much tell about it, It was a nice place, lots of parties in the evenings nice beaches but it was quite cold so we couldn't swim . The only markable this is the Chen found there the best icecream we tried in Australia (Go Pink !) .

We'll skip the description of surfers paradise but after it we went to Brisbane . Many people told us to skip it but we had a great time there . We slept in the cleanest hostel ever (Go Banana Benders), We enjoyed the city's cultural center, Chinatown and had a great time in Fortitud Valley (the pubs and clubs area) . We also had a great night with Osnat (from Chen's Kibutz - BTW she sends Dash to everyone) .

After brisbane we went to Noosa again nothing intersting to tell about it (lots of rain) . From Noosa we went to rainbow beach . This was our gatway to Fraser Island . Fraser is an amazing island built from sands . We had the best group we could hope for which was consisted from 4 english, 2 scottish and 2 americans . We camped on the beach (the nights were really cold), we cooked for ourselves and by far it was our best experiance in the east coast .

Currently we're in Airlie beach and we're having a two days cruise tomorrow to the great barrirer reaf .

We are looking forward to our short getaway to Chicago. planning to enjoy the big city, take Aya to a few musuems, the big aquarium and I hope we'll get to see Steve Miller band in concert!!!!
