Hi All,

Well a little bit of News this time.

We left Winton and headed to Boulia to see the Min Min lights and check out a Camel Ride. and stayed 1 night due to the wet weather setting in.

After fishing & crayfishing we came back with a slightly larger cray than the last time we checked out the town and decided due to the weather we needed to be on the road as it was really coming down so we headed the next 377kl to Mt Isa.

Well this was civillisation we all new this when we saw the K-Mart Sign.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights and decided we needed to move on to Normanton via Cloncurry again because of the rain and the hot weather was North.

The Cars and Vans were red with mud by the time we reached The Burke and Wills Roadhouse which was half way after leaving Cloncurry.

At Normanton we saw the Purple Pub, The Gulflander Train and Station Museum it was Fabulous then we talked to the locals - plenty of them with lots of time to spare.

We then headed to Karumba and this is the place to holiday. There are many people up here from all states to see out the winter.

This is the best Holiday Placw so far. Today we went fishing and caught 2 fish (Do we have to tell you they were not quite legal size ) but up here the legal size is bloody big.

Yesterday we went to the Barramundi Sanctury which was very enlightening and wow are they big Fish.

To - day was the start of the Carpentaria Golf Championship and we are teeing off at 9.30am tomorrow what a thrill.

We hope we will be here for this weeks Duck Race - Dennis and Bruce are working on making two plastic Ducks to enter in the Race.

It is a big dress-up day out like the Melbourne Cup. With a ladies Fashion competition no high heels allowed.

The seafood is absolutely scrumptious at $10.50 a Kilo for Local Prawns and $13.50 for Whole Crabs .... eat your hearts out as we will be sick of them in a few days.

We are celebrating Dennis's Birthday tomorrow after Golf with Coconut Crab and a few drinks.

After leaving here we are heading along the Savanah Highway to Cooktown Via Croydon for an Historical Tour and then on to Georgetown before taking a cruise up the Cobbold Gorge near Forsythe.

We will update when we come to the next available internet.

Our free vansights have been interesting to say the least plenty of camp fires and friends to chat away the nights.

Must away it is difficult to load pictures on these Internets so may have to catch up in Cairns but have some great ones to send.

Bye for now.

Anne Dennis Dianne & Bruce.

Hi, sounds like you are having a good time. Spoke to Nan again tonight - she is fine, but I only get to talk for about 10 mins before Tristan needs or wants me, but he did talk to Nan also. Brooke is out and so is Zoee. About to put tristan to bed. Kevin has finally finished Tafe. But keeping him busy updating the website. Been selling a bit of stuff lately. Can still afford the rent. ok talk soon - drive safe.
