Yep, 13 airports for the trip so far. This brings us to the end of our flights. From here it is overland and sea. Anyway since it was 3 countries ago that I last did an update I have a lot of stories to tell.

After leaving Essaouira we headed to Marrakesh for a couple of days before returning to Spain. The medina in Marrakesh, although not as old worldy as Fes contained some amazing sights. Snake charmers, monkeys, acrobats, fortune tellers, kids boxing fights, story tellers, musicians, bellydancers....the list goes on. It was just awesome, although we did get sick of someone asking for money everyway we looked.

At the Marrakesh airport our flight was delayed 2 hours and there were families fighting and crying and generally losing it everywhere. Morocco tested my patience, but fortunately not to that extent.

After Morocco it was actually nice to go back to Spain. We arrived in Madrid on the eve of the final game of the Real Madrid season. Not to miss a good bandwagon we quickly jumped aboard and watched the game with some Scots who had flown to Madrid to watch the game in the hostel with us. Real won and won the Spanish League as a result. The entire town poured out onto the streets to celebrate and the team did a drive by on a bus to see the fans. Staying in the spirit the following day we also did the Real Madrid Stadium and Museum tour as well as going to the teams civic reception at town hall.

From Madrid it was up to Gothenburg, Sweden where we arrived to 23 degrees, sunshine and people out everywhere. We spent the day going on about how great the place was only to realise the following day that days like that are pretty rare with 300 days of rain a year. For the record not all Swedes are blonde and drive Volvo's.......some drive Saabs.

We are now in Oslo, Norway with Sven, Anna, Trent and Monique. It is freezing and pouring rain so we did the rounds of the Museums today. Not being a huge museum fan, I must say that we went to three of the best Museums I have ever seen. First was the Fram museum which is a ship built in 1896 that made several expeditions to the North and South poles in the early 1900's, then there was the Kon Tiki museum where we saw the actual Kon Tiki raft that was sailed from Peru to Tahiti in 1947. Last of all we went to the Viking ship museum where they had two perfectly preserved 24m Viking ships which date back to around 900 AD.

Norway is ridiculously expensive. I payed A$10 for a McChicken today in desperation after pub menus put a basic burger at around the A$30 mark.

Tomorrow we are on the road again heading towards Bergen on the West coast of Norway. That is all I have to tell for the time being.

I hope all is well where ever you are.
