Marty & John Freeman are about to travel again. With a group of friends from Longview WA, we are taking a cruise to Alaska - up the inside passage and back - departing and arriving in Seattle on Holland America lines. In preparation, we have put the cargo carrier(from the rafters in the garage) on top of our car. Not since "station wagon days" (circa 1984) have we seen the cargo carrier on top of the car. We need the extra room for cargo-luggage so that all five of us from Longview (Marty, John, Scott McRae, Sue Piper, & Perry Piper) can travel up to Seattle in the same car. Gas prices are $2.93/gallon at the moment. So tonight, we pack and check our lists, and tomorrow we "load up" and drive to Seattle. We have a reservation for parking and then we'll be shuttled to the check in point to board the MS Amsterdam. The Cruise Begins! Marty & John are looking forward to seven days of being waited on "hand and foot".
