Day One

Okay, take 2...because the kitten decided to type...and somehow erased my last blog.
Day one began with us making a U turn and heading home because Benj forgot his cell phone. It was at this time that we realized that backing the camper in the driveway with the new truck is more difficult than it was with the old truck. This resulted in Mandie running down the driveway to the house while Benj stayed with the truck and camper in a bush.
Finally, we were off to pick up our co-traveler Mike. Mike has been visiting his parents in Maryland and met us at Benj's parents' house. Our next trip was to Wheeling and St. Clairsville for some last minute work stuff, then with Mike to U-Pull-It. There we learned that junkyards are really cook, bees do live under spare tires, you can't buy old license plates, and dried mud isn't always dry. "Excuse me sir, your tail light is busted." "What?" "KerPOW!"
After purchasing jacks for the camper, we were off to the house to add a new fuse to the truck and teach Mike the finer points of camping...ie, how to empty the black water tank. Ewwww...
Our bi-annual gathering has been moved from Drovers to the Alpha. It's a slight change of plans, but it's sure to be a great time.
Talk to you tomorrow from the road!
Mandie 😊
