We finally left Tioman, waayyy behind schedule but when you are somewhere like that who cares!!! At the moment we are in Mersing, just an average town, just waiting to catch a bus up the east coast tomorrow. Although if you want to buy inflatable beach toys, sunglasses or various tacky objects of questionable nature you would be in heaven here!!

Tioman was really beautiful, you know when you enjoy somewhere cos it starts to feel like home. We didn't take many photos tho cos we ran out of batteries and they were v expensive on the island😞 Our scuba diving was great fun - we are both now certified scuba divers! Ben really enjoyed it as well by the end which was a relief, we saw some amazing stuff but missed the sharks and turtles much to our dismay (I reckon mainly cos we were waiting for other people who couldn't blimming control their breathing and stayed floating at the top for about 4 hours... lol). I have now decided it's my ambition to see turtles, apparently we may do at the Perentian Islands where we will be in a couple of days.

Food was nice on the island - we had mashed potato! It was great.. the things you miss! Ben loved it cos he could live on sweet and sour vegetables!

Yesterday we did a trek across the island through the jungle which was amazing - but very hard and very sweaty!! The beach on the other side was the most deserted place you have ever seen with actual residents!! Was v beautiful though, worth the trek. On the way back today however we cheated and got a 4x4 to drive us back, which was an experience in itself!! (I had poorly feet from wearing fins diving)

Anyway, gotta dash - I'm starvin!

wont need your boots?
Hi Sarah great to hear from you. Keep them coming, gives me a short interval before the next problem. We currently have our worst ever learner enrolled but I am trying my best to find a reason to take him off. Now as for the boots, you left yours behind, is there anyone I can post them to or shall they just sit here in the office until your return in around a years time? Well done for getting your first PADI qual. Did you know I reached instructor status and taught for a while? I'm sure you'll see tutorles soon and if not go to the Red Sea or theres a drift dive off the coast of Mexcio that you are guaranteed to see them, I saw 18 on one dive there! Take care Andrea.
