Our view from our hostel window in Interlaken
Helllooo from Prague.... We've been in Prague for 2 days now but due to an emergency laundry run (which took a good 4 hours) and lack of sleep we really have only done one day of exploring the city. So this blog is mainly in regards to our last 2 days in Interlaken and Vienna.

So our plans changed a bit and Jenn and I decided to stay in Interlaken for an extra 2 days and then take a night train to Vienna. We had so much fun w/our roommates (room 305 baby) that we couldn't imagine leaving so soon.

So instead of going to Lucerne Jenn, Alex (our new travel buddy), and I rented out a rowboat and took it out onto the lake. First let me say that none of us really knew what we were doing and this was evident when we struggled to get the boat out of the dock. We then realized once we were safely away from the dock that we were in fact rowing with the back of the boat in the front (if that makes sense). I also have a feeling the oars were in backwards as well. Despite these rookie

mistakes we had a great time. We ate lunch on the boat, Alex sang us a lively version of row row row your boat and we got to go for a swim in the cold but beatiuful clear blue lake. Overall a great time had by all.

Now onto Vienna. Jenn and I were lucky to have a 3rd travel companion for this part of the trip as Alex decided to join us on our trip to Vienna. We took the overnight train to Vienna and had a stop in Zurich where this HUGE music festival was going on. Everyone was dressed up wearing some of the most crazy costumes I have ever seen. I don't even know where to begin to describe some of the things people were wearing. One small example was a man we saw who painted his entire body silver. Anyway the train ride was long, uncomfortable and we shared a tiny enclosed cabin with 2 smokers who had no qualms with lighting up a cigerate at 3am and slowly killing us with the smoke. We made it alive however and walked around the city a bit until our room was ready. We had decided

to save all the important musuems and palaces for the next day which was a big mistake when we later realized that the next day was in fact a bank holiday and everything was closed. That night we went to a wine garden and had some great local wine, good food and some fun music.

Despite the tiny difficulty of everything closed down we still managed to have fun the next day. We went to St Stephans Cathedrial and took a tour of the catacobs which was creepy but really interesting. We also enjoyed some Austrian food and relaxed in one of the many cafes and finished off the day with a movie.

On our final day before our evening train to Prague we went to a really interesting musuem and got to see some Piccasso, Renior and a photography exibit. It was extremely interesting and I'm glad we stayed a extra few hours to walk around Vienna and go to the musuem.

So overall we did the best we could with Vienna and had a great time hanging out (there was a fun playground near our hostel) and the sights we saw were definetly interesting. We're
