Look into the sun and smile!Look into the sun and smile!Look into the sun and smile!

What a way to spend an afternoon - loving the sunshine out at Cosmestan Lakes..
Who would've thought that it could be June so quickly? I have finally found a wonderful church, called All Nations, that is totally blowing my hair back! The first time I went in there, they were celebrating what God has been doing in the church, and how he's bringing so many nations together - that despite being from many different backgrounds, cultures etc - we are all part of God's family, and so brothers and sisters in christ. They showed a DVD (not quite Matty's standard!), letting the rest of the church know a bit more about who is in its congregation - i couldnt believe how many different African countries are represented - from Ghana, Nigeria, Zim, Kenya, SA (of course), even Cameroon! Its really great. They love Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and are so hungry for Him. 2 weeks ago we had a Pentecost Celebration - oh wow. God moved so powerfully, and yet gently. It was beautiful.

Have remained on my bike during the past few weeks, hopping between charging up and down the mountains on 2 wheels, to dancing the night away. Am so enjoying Salsa, and this has come to occupy at least

A beautiful lake just down the road from the hospital.. and I didnt even realise..
two evenings a week. We're gonna have to organise something back in SA - its too much fun not too! Spent saturday with Stellan (friend from Salsa) in Butepark - a huge park right in the middle of Cardiff, which if you follow the river, 5 hours later will put you into the middle of the Breacon Beacons National Park! The weather was glorious and hot, and just perfect for houmous, olives, cherizo, cheese, bagette and cherries!

So with the picnic theme, on wednesday we organised a surprise picnic for sally, who's birthday we'd forgotten! Was aweful, as although only there part time, she'd been present that day, and no one had said a thing! OOPS!! so we made it up to her with a surprise picnic outside the clinic, much to the amusement of the nursing staff and patients!

This afternoon, we finished clinic slightly earlier, so i packed up the picnic blanket and headed off to Cosmestan Lakes, which is probably only about 2km down the road from me. What a glorious little haven that I didnt even realise exisited! Was kitted out with bikini top to grab as many UV rays as I could... and

Enjoying the sun with a picnic along the river with Stellan
spent about 3 hours dozing in the sun and chatting with God.. Without a watch, i tried to gauge the time, and when the sun was at about 3 o clock in the sky, headed home.... only to discover it was 8.30 already! Oh dear, i'm destined to spend the summer tired - just cant seem to get my head around it being so light so late...

Unfortunately the working part of my visa expires this month. I have a plan in the pipeline with regards to the rest of the year, but waiting to see it happen before getting too excited about it... but one things for sure, and that is that it would be a dream come true and something i've always wanted to do.... so watch this space!
