Cheers, Mates! This is your substitute Blogger, Charles Milling. Unfortunately, Michelle L. Jackson is celebrating with her brothers, Samuel L. and Michael Jackson at the Never-Never Land ranch. She could not be present for this particular blogging session as she retains the missing sequined glove and original Jackson hair color, Fanta-Orange ("Orangelo").
In this blogg you will be subjected to the misadventures of Fuzzyhead and Funny . There will be no talking, sneezing, or spitballs allowed. You have the right to remain in front of this computer screen. Anything you see here can and will be used against you in a court of law.

Shelly kindly picks Charles up from the Wellington airport (no picture of her chauffer suit and sign available).
Cab to Waitiata. Introductions...Chris (Exuberant), Christian ("Hallo"). Shelly tears open body bag of presents lugged overseas by Charles, from Jackson clan. Suddenly the immaculate dormatory is a tornado scene of colorful clothing, giggles and yelps of excitement, bags and paper.
Charles, requests ten minutes to put his humble gift from Scotland together. Shelly opens it ucharacteristically slow. all is well in Waitiata.
Walked into town. ate at Real Earth.
F69 Afro Jam!
This is a selection of mates from the Waiteata shindig who migrated with us to the Battlefront Coolest water station in the world -you serve your own water at this restauraunt -out of a flowing, smoothe-rock waterfountain. After, we walked the waterfront and took the cable car up to campus. neat ride up the hill!
Liz decided to invite Victoria University over for coctails. Charles meets Liz (WHEW!!!). He also meets Rachel and Lauren, his two new favorite people! Rachael kindly whips up a killer concoction. don't know the name; for purposes of this blogg, we'll call it the F69: 1pt. Vodka, 1pt. Tonic, splash of lime, strawberry schnaaps and ice. Mmmmm...
We head to the f69 Battleship down at the harbor for some eery belly dancing...
Live music...
and dancing...

Scones. Botanical gardens via cable car.
Walk down to warf. Meet up with Christain and his gf, Nicole.
Ferry to maitiu-Somes island, which is a island off the harbor of welly, which holds several sheep and endangered birds, native to NZ. it was a perfet day for a ferry ride across the bay and a hike on the island. At the top, we could see the city, the strait, and Miramar pennisula.
That night
Shelly in Welly!
Queenswarf! Ain't she fine? we went to the observatory within the botanical gardens...not a cloud in the sky. We lucked out because a professor was there that night who took us outside to witness the Discovery Shuttle passing overhead! We had a Planetarium presentation with the prof and then a view of some amazing spots in the sky. The night was crisp, cold and BEAUTIFUL!

Today, we walked to Waitiata's two-story window and took a gander. What a view -the flat being on a steep hilltop on the East side, overlooking all of Welly below...and across. We set our sites on the ultimate hike, Mount Victoria. all the way accross town, up a steep mountain climb
Cable Car aloft!
Trip to Botanical Gardens to the highest peak within eyesight. It took us nearly six hours to hike there, picnic and hike back. What a day!!!
Tonight, Shelly unsheathed her cullinary expertise and then we tagged on with friend, Ngaire (pronounced Nigh-ree), in the pouring rain all the way down to Bodega -for Bubbles and Beats. "live" music here is a maladjusted DJ. with lighting bar. it was loads of fun though and lots of conversation. At the table, among the americans, were irish, french, brittish and kiwi. Not bad, eh? The whole lot of us loped on over to Midnight Expresso for wonderful vegan chocolate cake and marshmallow hot-chocolate. MMmMmmmm!

Shelly and charles had a profound idea...Crepes for breakfast! Once in town though, the Windy Welly got the best of them and shivering on a bench while holding delicate crepes seemed a daunting task. so we marched into 'Mr. Bun' for breakfast. Wow. Since this experience we've renamed mr. bun to Plumber's Crack...or Pidgeon's Nest. Please feel free to email Shelly with your pick.
Breakfast was consoled by a trip to Old St. Paul's Cathedral. All wood and stained glass. so beautiful. a holy
place.
shelly had a nasty day at shool but ngaire made it up to her by taking us to eat malaysian food with Rachael and Lauren (and Rachael's flatmates).
Went home to pack for the great journey to the south island.
Please stay tuned for another episode of the great adventures of Fuzzyhead and Funny.
