terris birthday!!
getting lots of presents!! Hi all!!
We have had a very busy weekend, as you know it was Terri's birthday last
Thursday and it was a public holiday on Monday the 28th so we had long birthday
celebrations!!
So on Terri's birthday (after everyone got back from work!! ) we had a nice
English roast dinner and Terri opened her presents. She got a new pink phone
from her parents and a pink ipod from Leondre. He also made her a big collage of
pictures from the last 2 years, which is now hanging in her bedroom!!
Then on the Friday it was back to work for Terri during the day!!! But after
work everyone met on the train going to London and missioned up to London for
the evening. While on the train Sarah got a call about a job that she had been
offered (its s temp job for two months which she started yesterday!!) so we had
more reason to celebrate!! On arriving in London Terri, Leondre, Sarah and
Terri's mum went to the restaurant where Terri's dad was waiting for us ( he got
the train up earlier straight from his work, to keep our table!) the
terris birthday!!
our yummy dinner!! courtesy of Leondre and Sarah!! restaurant
was very nice and we ordered cocktails straight away as there was only 10 mins
of 'Happy Hour' left!! We ordered dinner quickly and ate and then it was off to
the theatre where Terri's parents had bought tickets to see the Blue Man Group.
The show was amazing, its very hard to explain but it involves three men who's
faces are painted blue, they don't speak at all, they just make music out of
everyday things, like plastic piping etc. its so amazing!! After the show we
were lucky enough to meet one of the blue men and have our picture taken with
him!! Scary!
After the theatre we walked to Covent Gardens which is famous for street
entertainers and markets, it was a bit dead late at night but we wanted to show
Sarah around London at night!! Then from here we walked to Leicester Square and
had a cup of coffee before getting the train back home. We all fell into bed at
about 1am!!
The next day we had planned to go to London for a day of sightseeing but after
the night before we were all too tired so we decided to
terris birthday!!
enjoying the dessert!! go to Lakeside shopping
mall, about an hour away.
On Sunday we were fully rested so Leondre, Terri and Sarah went off to London
for a day of tourism!! We started off at Victoria station and from here we
walked to Buckingham Palace, then to the Ritz.
After this we got the tube to Harrods (the biggest department store ever!! And
the poshest!!) here we looked around at the designer dresses, Sarah saw one she
wanted which was designed by Valentino and cost £2650!!!! Then we checked out
the pet department and saw bulldog puppies for £3000 each!! Also in the pet
department they sell real pearl necklaces for dogs and dog clothes in all shapes
and colours!! They even sold a dog wardrobe and hangers to hang up your dogs
clothes! Also at Harrods is a Princess Diana and Dodi fayed memorial. ( Dodi fayed's father is the owner of Harrods) where they have on display a wine glass from that night and a diamond ring Dodi planned to give to her.(see the pics below)
Then we caught the tube to the London eye and Big Ben. Across from here is
Westminster Abby which we wanted
terris birthday!!
terri's new mobile phone!! to go into but as it was a Sunday we weren't
allowed as it is still a working church.
From here we took the tube to Covent Gardens which was a but more lively than
the previous Friday evening. We even saw a street performer. Some guy doing
tricks and trying to escape from a straight jacket while wearing a leather
g-string!! (luckily over some black leggings though!!)
After this we walked around the Covent Gardens market place and then it was time
to head home!! Once home we just had time for a quick dinner then it was time to
head out again with Terri's friends for a night out to celebrate her birthday!
We headed out to the local nightclub again, and spent the night dancing away!!
The next day was a public holiday (which we were all grateful for!!) and we
spent the day in town in the morning and then watching movies all afternoon and
night!!
All in all it was a very eventful weekend and we did a lot of things!!

Hey you two gallivanting love birds.
Hi Terri and Leondre so good to see all is well and that you are having such good fun. Your trips to london are getting more and more exciting each time Soon you will have nothing new to see or do. We are terribly envious of you leon and really wish Mommy and I could join you on one of those fantastic outings. Martin e-mailed us to say that the camp he is in is not so cool. He says that there is no phone signal there either and that he is missing home big time. Love you both dearly God bless. Dad.
