we know we haven't updated in a while...so this is what has been going on...

we went to florence after milano. it was amazing there!! we stayed there for 5 nights. 2 of the days we really stormy...thunder, lightening, massive amounts of rain. we actually felt like we were at home. we spent the first couple of days wandering around looking at stuff. the museums there are REALLY expensive, so we didn't do much of that there. BUT...we did go to the academia to see the david. pretty amazing...and just as i - tara - remembered it. shay was basically breathless 😊 we then went to the palazzio medici where they had several pieces by michelangelo and donatello. we also went to the bargello to check out some more michelangelo and some of donatello's stuff...pretty cool.

we took one of our florence days to travel to pisa by train to see the famous tower. the campo also has a cathedral...and thats pretty much it...for the entire town. i was really disapointed in pisa itself. the city is really dirty and gross...but they keep the campo (the area around the tower) really clean...but there are guys there who harass everyone trying to sell fake prada and stuff.

all in all...florence was amazing...rainy...but a good time. we also went to see the third pirates of the caribbean. a nice break...

so here we are...in the medieval city of siena. it's really beautiful here! tiny...but beautiful. we arrived here yesterday afternoon, and it was dumping BUCKETS of rain...so we went to our cute little hotel and just hung out til about 6 when the rain FINALLY stopped. we then explored the city for a couple of hours, grapping some delicious gelato and dinner at a really cute little restaurant that we stumbled across.

today we woke up really early to explore the city some more...only to find out that we saw EVERYTHING last night...so...we grabbed some more gelato and lounged out on the campo for a while. now its just after noon...and we aren't sure what we are going to for the rest of the day...probably more exploring 😊

tomorrow we are off to ROMA! pretty excited for that.

anyway...all is going better than amazing! we are being really safe...and we've actually been calling it a day really early every night lately and making it back to our hotels ridiculously early...but then we've been getting up early too. well...off to take a siesta!! gotta love the italians and their nap times!
