A very quiet weekend had by me, partly cos I’m lazy and partly cos it rained for most of the weekend.
Friday night I went and watched Pirates of the Caribbean. Not sure what the reviews were like back home but the movie has been mostly panned by UK critics. Although not sure if it was as good as Pirates 1 and 2, I still really enjoyed it - Johnny Depp was hilarious as usual (and the Keith Richards ‘cameo’ was good as it was predictable). Even Arrow Boy’s acting was okay.
More excitingly I’ve found a place - finally (I think - still to confirm/sign up or whatever)! A decent sized room in a terrace house sharing with two others, the place is in Hulme 10 min walk into the city centre and just as close to most of the live music venues.
Strangely this will be the first time I have lived in a place other than my own place or with family, not sure how I will go living with strangers, I’m sure it will be frustrating at times (the veg thing might be awkward but I will have to deal with that) but hopefully I will get along with my flatmates (they seem nice at lease) and will get to make more friends through them.
Hoping to move in on Monday (bank holiday over here) and so I can start looking for a job etc next week - no longer will I feel like I’m just on holidays here, it will really be my home for the next year or two!!!
Maria - no comments on the T, I suppose no one else would get our in joke. Promise to archive the top and not wear it again
