It's +32 degrees (C), the sun is directly overhead ... the low pressure system between here and australia (combined with a new moon) has made swells over 20 feet high - which to a landlocked calgarian look something like base jumping off the calgary tower!! Maybe today is a good day to sit these waves out!!
At least we've been to the surf a few times already. With Dad's support in the push off Devin managed about 10 good rides on his first day surfing in Kuta. He decided "surfing rocks!!" --- until he got a mouthful of the Indian Ocean and decided that boogie boarding might be a better option. Phil on the other hand managed about 10 good bails! Surfing seems a lot tougher for an over 40 less than perfectly nimble dude! Its a good thing he is fit and strong (he can take a 10 foot wave pummeling!) and has the attitude of a 20 year old.
Other than that .... the days easily blend into each other ... early morning walks along the beach, a bit of exercise, beatiful breakfast followed by morning swim time. Lunch is followed by beach time which is
followed by cocktail time .... AHHH -- the life of privalege!! We are feeling very blessed! Life is good! (and i have even "let go" of my luggage drama ... whatever will be will be!! Maybe i have some buddha in me after all!

Thanks for the update! Life sounds GRAND! and it's so great that you guys appreciate it. Devin looks too cool as a surfer dude but glad he's riding on a boogie board now. It's hard for us moms to watch the little ones potentially getting pummeled. Why can't boys just take up golf and tennis??!!! Looking forward to seeing you guys in July - something to look forward to - yahoo! And right now, we're looking forward to seeing Brent. He should be home any minute now from India.
