We have finally dragged ourselves out of Sama Sama guesthouse, onto the bus and have given the orders - "to the capital of Malaysia, pronto, and don't spare the horses!!" We arrived to the biggest thunderstorm I have ever seen, even our coach was leaking rain!

To carry on where Ben's last blog left off, we never did find the organic restaurant, in fact we actually reckon Lonely Planet were telling porkies about that one. We went up and down the road many, many times and didn't see a sign of it. So we went to an Indian Restaurant instead and had a full meal each for a silly amount of money (something like 1.50 to 2 quid each), we've actually ended up eating Indian food for the last 3 nights now - and our bellys are suffering for it!! We met a guy from Leeds in the restaurant, which was nice as well, ourfirst proper traveller friend!

Next day (yesterday?) we had another pretty lazy day! It's just too hot to move fast!! (I'm also loving my Harry Potter book:P) We went to a Maritime museum inside a big fake ship which was coolio, learnt about of the Melaccans hate the British for ruining their port - woops. We also went to Bukit China which is the biggest Chinese burial site outside of China, and was pretty spectacular. If I ever happen to be buried I want to be buried there - theyy have huuuuuge graves!!!

We then had a verrryy spicy dinner (Ben's face melted off) and then went to a pub owned by an English guy and his wife (there don't seem to be many pubs in Malaysia, reckon it's cos it's a mainly muslim country.) We sat otuside by the river and met some guys from our hostel from Canada and Mexico, some more traveller friends! Had a good chat with them and then were joined by a very odd English guy who came from the same village in Norfolk that one of Ben's friends from Chippenham lives and works as the postman in....weiirddd!! We then went back to the hostel and hung out chattting with the owner about the Chinese in Malaysia and other stuff which was pretty interesting.

Had a cheese and ham sandwich for breakfast today.. pure bliss..!!!!! We intended to leave for KL at 12, then in proper Melaka style didn't leave til 3! Not a bad journey though, apart from the leaking roof and the sub-zero air con!! Tonight we tried to find another Lonely Planet invented restaurant - we will learn! This failed - the dirty liars... we ended up at another Indian! We then went to a v. touristy Reggae bar, didn't hear any reggae!! Cheap drinks for me being a lady though - score!!! Havent really seen much of KL so far, but the Petronas towers look perrty spectacular all lit up. We are staying in a dorm tonight, our first one! But it's only 4 beds and we are staying with a normal sounding dutch couple so shoul dbe ok.
