Edit Blog Post

Hello to all those people who were wondering where I went, if I fell of the face of the earth, or who didn't even know I had a blog. It's been at least a year since I last submitted an entry here at Travelblog. Since then a lot has happened, from finding a new place to live in a nearby nest called Maria Lankowitz, to deciding that living here wouldn't be such a bad idea after all - but to my dismay finding out that Austrian Government doesn't want Americans living for longer periods of time in their country (or at least they make it hard for them to).

I went home for the summer and slaved in the 110 Degree sun at a crappy old rickety waterpark known as 'the Rapids'. Doesn't the name make you want to spend $15 to go sliding on 4 ancient waterslides from 10:00 till 5:30 (actual prices and opening hours)? You bet. Especially when everyone slathers on that SPF 50 sunblock one minute before they decide to go in the water so that when they come flying out the slide, all that SPF 50 sunblock lotion comes off into the water that everyone's butt and boogers have touched? MMMMMMM. I had the pleasure and privelege, being Manager of the waterpark, of testing the chlorine levels and adding more if the slime from people's body seemed to be overtaking the amount of chlorine (something that happened often). This event was dubbed 'juicing it up', meaning pouring chlorine by the barrelful into the sludge. I earned 6000 bucks in 3 months but that was because my life became the Waterslides. I was there every day from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with maybe one day every week off. I was so brown by September that I was afraid I'd start to shrivel up like a raisin if I didn't get to Austria soon.

And so here I am now, typing this entry at the school that employs me, thinking about the next step I am about to take into the world of the unknown: Prague. More of that to come.

Welcome back
I didn't want you to think you didn't have any friends, so I am adding a comment. Interesting. I'm interested in where you have traveled to.
