Since last writing I have travelled to Christchurch and Kairkoura again, and then Wellington where I am now.

The drive from Queenstown to Christchurch took all day but the scenery was fantastic. We stopped to look at Mount Cook and various other little stops, including a toilet and icecream break in a little town called Grenadine (I think!) As I approached the cafe I suddenly remembered that I had been there before and visited the same shops. It's funny how such an indescript memory can suddenly pop out.

I have spent the last few days with Meg and Megan, two awesome Canadian girls who have unfortunately now moved on at a faster pace than me. When leaving Christchurch we accidentally got on the new peoples' bus (which we assumed was just a normal overflow kiwi bus) so spent the day and night at a different hostel from most people we had been travelling with, with new starters heading off around the South Island. I had a great time though, a large group of people who don't know each other are really chatty and fun. The hostel, The Lazy Shag, (a NZ bird) was awesome too, especially as we

I just happen to like this picture!
pretty much had it to ourselves.

The sun shone all day so I enjoyed a walk from the seal colony with several of the others and took lots of photos.

Yesterday I travelled all day in order to get to Wellington. It's a little odd being back in a 'proper' city again with high rise buildings etc - though it's an attractive city with the harbour front and sunshine. Most people left today or tomorrow, however I have another day here since I have three weeks left to cover the South Island, so I have no idea who I will be travelling with as of tomorrow...whoever turns up on the kiwi buses I guess!

After lots of nights out, tonight is a half price cinema night; very much what I am in the mood for.

Hope everyone is well xx
