so we went trapsing through Voorheesville, NY today at Thacher Park. we hiked the indian ladder trail, and took a few detours to get ourselves into a few precarious positions! we found a few trails that took us up to about halfway up one of the falls, n then we hiked back along the higher path and ended up having to free climb our way down about 30 feet or so, but we made it safe and sound... we stood underneath another one of the falls and found a cave about 40 feet up or so. i climbed up to check it out but jimmy decided he didn't feel like dying today so i climbed back down. at the end of the trail we decided to live on the edge and go off the beaten path (those warning signs are just there for decoration anyway, right?) so we shimmied our way along the ledge for about a half mile or so a good 100 feet up at the lowest point. we found ourselves a nice little cave and left our mark on the wall... once we made our way back we were hiking back to the start of the trail
where we parked and found another fenced off "do not cross" area that led straight to the top of one of the falls, so of course we hopped the fence and checked it out. if you look carefully you can spot a rainbow in the left side of one of the photos from that vantage point. let me tell ya, it was awesome... so, we made it there, made it through and made it back, now it's onto the next great adventure! moving out and graduation! woohoo. much love all!! xox

This was always one of my favorite places to go when we lived there - and love your pictures!!! How cool to go back and see if your mark is still in the cave years from now - When you are old and gray - can't wait to see you make that hike then - hee- hee-hee-hee Love you guys. "You Momma"
