I haven’t heard them say ‘howdy’ yet, but it would make me happy if I did.

We visited an old copper mine near the house yesterday. It’s set up like the cowboy towns you see in films, which combined with the magnificent views feels satisfyingly authentic (which it was).

The bar we visited had several drunken cowboys in occupation, which is quality entertainment that I’d definitely recommend even if it’s just for the way that they talk. If I could afford/had room for the fetching cowboy hat/boots combo I would be tempted, especially after being surrounded by the people and music all day.

It was there, and we're all a bunch of posers so we had a go. Mark's the only one who properly went for it - our noose looks incidental to the picture I think.
