yes ladies and gentlemen if you went to baseball games as a child/adult in America you know what the certain tune is played at the end you YELL----CHARGE!!! WELL....in Taiwan that just isn't the case, there is pure silence expect for the crazy American girls who didn't fail to yell!

After the many 'back and forths' on deciding when to go to a baseball game, Rach and I went ahead and took our chance while we were in Tainan. And for the front row seats on the home team side along the bullpin where i found my main squeeze of the night for a meer ($10 US) it was a pretty good view. It was one worthwhile experience, especially for number 3. Walking into the stadium it appeared to be like any stadium where we are from, though the outfield looked a little small, maybe it was, but the bases were the same, the infield, the dug outs, the jumbo tron (that rarely worked) , and the even had a concession stand, which happened to sell a six pack of budweiser, pop corn (which turned out to be kettle korn) and of course the ever so popular fried chicken, souveniers, and o yes i must not forget the food vendor who was selling, tofu, tea eggs, and some animal claws. And of course we got to the stadium early beacuse HELLO THE WARM UP IS THE BEST PART but once again we are not witnessing American baseball and from what i could see was that their idea of warmups was stretching and walking back and forth along the outfield and swining the bat a few times. The guys' uniforms appeared from a distance, to be the same, but as they got closer, the pants were baggy. NO TIGHT PANTS NO VIEW OF THE NICE BUTTs! 😉
The game started, us with our six pack and pop corn, with the foreigner pitching, yes there are foreigners on the baseball and basketball teams here, but he didnt last two long after he gave up for runs in the first inning. BU HAO! Then slowly the UNI Tainan Lions were getting creamed and the BBs and Is focus started to turn from the field towards the lucky men in the bullpen!!
Something that was sort of neat about this game was that even tho the cheer songs were in chinese rach and i actually understood and caught onto the fact that at one part we say , ji yo ji yo ji yo (maybe because it was repetition) but still we cheered in chinese and it was sweet. also, the fans had these little miniture plastic bats that they used and noise makers and the kids had miniture blow horns and then they always waved these huge flags when the Lions actually made a nice play or had a nice hit. AND i will say there were a few bad calls and plays but NO ONE 'booed' or trash talked so maybe its just in American baseball but we had a few go at its!
After the game we ate at a really delicious Greek restaurant with yummy pita bread and humus dip and headed home!
