Shanghai

IN ENGLISH ( this is not an exact translation,...sorry for my english)
We get into the train that goes to Shanghai. In the corridor of our carriage there is a lot of people stucked between their suitcases while
Shanghai
currando! they are immersed in the "hard" task of looking for their compartment (that is perfectly indicated ...). We share our compartment with an eldery couple of Hong Kong, who are going to Shanghai to visit their son. In the corridor a kid dressed as Spiderman runs between the people while his father screams as a mad at a woman who doesn't let him pass because her suitcases are in the middle of the corridor.
The train starts to move and also starts the life inside the train: food sellers, people going to the restaurant carriage...and the spiderman kid that tries to climb the walls.
I go out to the corridor and a little car hits against my feet. Is the spiderman kid who tired of climbing is now playing with his toys in the corridor of the train. I start playing with him and he is so happy that starts to bring me all the toys that he has, appearing every 30 seconds in our compartment shouting and laughing until his father appears and takes him after yelling to him.
Finally we arrive to Shanghai 22 hours after our departure. The city of Shanghai, with 17 million inhabitants, is
Shanghai
calle nanjing the biggest city of China. When the British came to Shanghai in 1842, after the Opium War, shanghai was a small fishing village . With the years it turned into the biggest international port in Asia and also was synonymous of exploitation and vice getting the nickname of The Whore of the East: smoking-rooms of opium, gambling houses and brothels were everywhere in the streets. Now nothing of this remains.....
The first days we spend our time walking along the Bund, from where you can admire the views of Pudong, symbol of the economic development of Shanghai, we walk also along the pedestrian street of Nanjing and visit the old chinese quarter and trhe french concession....We've noticed that some "good" manners remains, as the ignorance of the meaning of QUEUE, or try to get inside the train before people can get out,.....
Everything is Ok but it changes dramatically once 1st of May ( Worker´s day) arrives, because it means the start of the golden week for chinese ( one week of holidays). Thousands....not, Millions of chinese people everywhere!!! The streets are totally packed and it is impossible to walk, and people from the villages find us very
Shanghai
El fabuloso mundo de los insectooos! strange, they laugh and look at us as we where from other planet, and try to take photos of us. Once they get the precious souvenir ( a photo of that people of round eyes) they let us go away.
Now we try to survive the last days here until the damn golden week finish before leaving to Tongli, Zhouzhuang and Suzhou, ....
